The Bossier City Police Department’s Vice United conducted an undercover operation Wednesday night, March 6, 2013 targeting illegal sales of alcohol to persons under the age of 21 at local businesses.

Five businesses were checked during the operation for compliance with state laws with the assistance of an underage operative who attempted to purchase alcohol at each of the businesses. Employees at three of those businesses were issued summonses for unlawful sales to person under the age of 21. Those cited were:

  • Stephen Beamer, age 23, employed at Petro U.S., 5412 Barksdale Boulevard.

  • Taher H. Ahmed, age 31, employed at Barksdale Food Mart, 3226 Barksdale Boulevard.

  • Mohammed A. Saleh, age 24, employed at Twins Kwik Mart, 4609 Shed Road.

The two businesses that were found to be in compliance with state law were the Day & Night Store, 1290 Barksdale Boulevard and Cascio’s Food Mart, 2252 Barksdale Boulevard.
