How did you get started? I got started bowling the summer before my freshman year with the kids bowl free coupons at Holiday Lanes.
How long have you played? I have only been bowling for about three years.
What kind of awards/camps/etc. have you received or participated in? I took karate for four years and received a first degree black belt, along with trophies from previous tournaments. Just recently I received the Miss Geaux Bowling at Holiday Lanes and represented them in a parade. I have also been made team captain this year.
What kind of pre-event routine do you have? Our team has a performance plan which is directed by a coach. Before we start our games, we always warm up and practice.
What makes you stand out as an athlete? I stand out as an athlete because I am serious and passionate about the sport.
What individual/team goals have you achieved or set this season? Our team’s goal this season is to get district champions for the third year in a row and head down to Houma for Regionals. Getting district champions again was also my personal goal this year.
What do you enjoy most about your sport? I enjoy bowling because it is something that is exciting. I love the feeling that occurs when a match is about to begin.
Has anyone inspired you to achieve your goals? Who and what did they do? Many people and coaches have inspired me to achieve goals in bowling and in life. The coaches on the Saturday Morning League have given me so many helpful hints on bowling. I cannot thank them enough.
What are your hobbies/interests? One of my interests is history. I enjoy learning about the past and who/what made us into the country we are today.
What are your future plans? My future plans are to attend a four-year college. I am not sure as of right now what my major will be.
