Department of the Air Force Civilian Carla A. Pampe has been named the Intermediate Grade Civilian of The Year for the Air Force Global Strike Command at Barksdale Air Force Base.
Selection was based on the individual's exemplary duty performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities, teamwork, significant self-improvement, personal achievements, notable accomplishments, and community service and support.
Pampe has served in civil service for 12 years.
She is the daughter of Carl W. Pampe of Shady Grove Drive, Bossier City, and granddaughter of Mary Louise Pampe of East Locust Street, Olney, Ill.
Pampe graduated in 1991 from Parkway High School, Bossier City, La., and received a bachelor's degree in 1995 from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston. She earned a master's degree in 2007 from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Ill.
