HAUGHTON - Carolyn Faye Carroll, 61, was born on August 21, 1951, in DeRidder, LA to parents, John and Bobbie (Zimmerman) Whiddon. She passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 14, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday evening, February 16th, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will follow beginning at 6:30 p.m. officiated by Bro. Joe Sherwin of New Hebron Baptist Church, Elysian Fields, TX.
Carolyn loved to read, travel, and spend time with her grandsons. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed!
She is preceded in death by her father, John Roy Whiddon and her brother, Johnnie Whiddon. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Louis Carroll; daughter, Melissa Fisher and husband, James and their children, Caleb and Braden; son, Chris Carroll and his partner, Mark Hollingsworth; her mother, Bobbie Whiddon; mother-in-law, Helen Carroll, and numerous loving brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Joseph's Hospice of Northwest Louisiana for all of their compassion and care.
