Meadowview Elementary School third, fourth, and fifth grade students participated in a social studies fair Friday morning. All of the students presented projects and made a verbal presentation to judges. The top four projects from the fourth and fifth grade will advance to the regional social studies fair later this school year.
Representing Meadowview at the regional competition will be (left to right) fourth graders Jayda Ellison, Jacie McGlamery, Kayleigh Head and fifth grader Zachary Jones.
First place winners were Joseph Manning, third grade; Jasmine Hall, third grade; Hannah Sasser, third grade; Samuel Torres, third grade; Jayda Ellison, fourth grade; Jacie McGlamery, fourth grade; Breanna Phillips, fourth grade; Kayleigh Head, fourth grade; Zachary Jones, fifth grade; Ana Rojas, fifth grade; and Kevin Aguilar, fifth grade.
Second place winners were Ty Knippers, third grade; Dawson Gilbert, third grade; Jewel Brown, third grade; Tony Cotton, third grade; De'Anndra Murillo, fourth grade; Manuel Rodriguez, Jr., fourth grade; Elizabeth Newman, fourth grade; Isaac Martinez, fourth grade; Melvin Pugh, fifth grade; Dylan Townsend, fifth grade; and Amiyah Ford, fifth grade.
Third place winners were Brykay Hampton, third grade; Jace Jones, third grade, Najila Sims, third grade; Chris Griffith, third grade; Talayeh Hale, fourth grade; Tyler Tran, fourth grade; Kameron Morris, fourth grade; Jeremias Muniz, fourth grade; Cassie Toal, fifth grade; Devon Mancho, fifth grade; and Aamaree Stephens, fifth grade.
Honorable Mentions were Layanna Joseph, third grade, Janiya Manning, third grade; Celia Raha, third grade; Shayla Morris, third grade; Chandler Shelton, fourth grade; Jemia Babens, fourth grade; Ferrely Cardenas, fourth grade; Jonathan Dyess, fourth grade; Alexis Taylor, fifth grade; Araya Williams, fifth grade; and Jasmine Snow, fifth grade.
Receiving the Principal's Award were Jackson Dyess, Chris Kouba and Robert Pittenger.
