BAC calls for artists, musicians for art walk

Bossier Arts Council is seeking visual artists and musicians for a new opportunity to showcase their talents.

In a partnership with Villaggio, BAC will coordinate a Spring Art Walk on Saturday, March 30. This is an opportunity for area artists and artisans to sell their work in an outdoor venue. The BAC and the Budding Artists Association partnering to host  local bands and/or solo acts for our musical portion of the Art Show.

Each artist will be provided a table and two chairs and given one hour for set up. The event will be from 10-4 p.m. and BAC and Villaggio will be promoting the event.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it . A $15 dollar fee will apply to assist for rental of equipment and promotion (BAC will NOT be taking a commission on works sold). All applications must be submitted by Feb. 28.

All musical entries must be "radio appropriate". If you wish to participate, please visit www.bossierarts.org to download an entry form. East Bank Gallery hosting the Creative Art Connection Exhibition

The Bossier Arts Council East Bank Gallery is thrilled to announce an exhibition of the Creative Art Connection from Jan. 15 to Feb. 28. An opening reception will be Friday, Jan. 25 at 5:30 p.m.

The Creative Art Connection is a non-profit organization whose purpose it is to stimulate cultural development in the Bossier City community by providing activities and an outlet for the talents of all craftsmen in the field of fine arts. The Creative Art Connection shall encourage the production of creative work and the appreciation of art in order to widen the vision of the individual and to enrich the moral and spiritual life of the community.

The East Bank Gallery is a project of the Bossier Arts Council is committed to promoting art work of regional artists. It is located in BAC headquarters at 630 Barksdale Blvd. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or by appointment.
