Bossier Parish Community College launches its virtual campus tour, BPCC 360⁰, on the College’s website at www.bpcc.edu.  BPCC 360⁰ gives prospective students, parents, and the community a chance to tour the BPCC campus online from anywhere, anytime.  The BPCC virtual tour is the first-of-its-kind for a college in the Shreveport-Bossier area.

Partnering with YouVisit.com, a national virtual campus tour company providing virtual tours for colleges such as Yale, University of Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and West Point, BPCC’s virtual tour features realistic online walking tours with rich media, video content and 360-degree panoramic views. Interactive and three-dimensional, the tour will give students, parents and visitors a glimpse of the College campus.

“Providing this interactive virtual tour allows us reach out to those who may not be able to come to campus for a personal visit,” says Public Relations Director Tracy McGill.  “Virtually ‘walking’ around campus allows the viewer to see first-hand all of our world-class facilities and programs. Students can see into classrooms, labs, library and even the bookstore.”

BPCC’s virtual tour can found on the College’s homepage, www.bpcc.edu, by clicking on the 360⁰ icon on the bottom right of webpage.

In addition, the new BPCC App will launch in the next month and BPCC 360⁰ virtual tour will also be uploaded on the College’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/BPCCCAVS . The BPCC App will be available for Apple and Android and will be complete with full GPS and campus tour components, as well as with maps, news, athletics, academics, videos, and much more.

These virtual additions also add to BPCC’s innovative mix of online offerings for the community. Last fall, BPCC launched Discover bpcc, a series of mini-lectures varying in length anywhere from 2-14 minutes on courses such as English, math, art, biology, business administration, and reading. The mini-lectures can be viewed free of charge and with no obligation by visiting www.bpcc.edu/discover.
