The Louisiana New Tech @ Plain Dealing December Leos of the Month are sophomore Quamel Webb (right) and sixth graderTynesha Fisher (left). The Leo Award is chosen by faculty and rewarded monthly to one student from both the high school and middle school. Selection is based on attendance, academic performance, outstanding character, and positive behavior in the classroom. Assistant principal, Ms. Isebaert, was asked what the Leos of the Month recipients had in common, she replied “They are both pleasant to be around and both are very hard working.” When Tynesha was asked what it meant to her to be chosen as Leo of the Month, she replied “Well, it means a lot of things to me. It has given me confidence that people are beginning to recognize the hard work that I do, and gives me that sense of notice that is appreciated”.
