E-mail Print PDF

Have you ever wanted to donate something? Then why not donate your hair? Children With Hair Loss (CWHL) will give the community that opportunity by holding “Donation Days” next month.

Donation Days is a hair donation event that supports CWHL by letting a person donate a minimum of eight inches of hair (any type is welcome as long as it is clean and dry and in good condition).

The event will take place February 12 and 13 at Runway Hair Salon, 1123 Villaggio Blvd., Bossier City.

Participants can call the salon and make an appointment at 742-2786. The donator will still pay the stylist regularly for a typical haircut but will be able to send their ponytail to an amazing cause.

Anyone who would like to make a monetary donation is able to do so by going by Runway Hair Salon throughout the month of February and can purchase a Children With Hair Loss paper heart that will be displayed. The money then goes to create wigs for the children.

CWHL was created as a resource for al children who have medically-related hair loss. It is their mission to empower these children to become by making hair replacement available to those who may be financially challenged and might otherwise not have a means of obtaining the hair they want and need. Their goal is to assist as many of these children as possible in changing their lives by improving their outlook and empowering them with a degree of selfconfidence that will allow them to face the world with renewed self esteem.
