HAUGHTON - Funeral Services for Mary J. Lewis, 87, will be held at Hill Crest Funeral Home chapel, Monday, January 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Lyndell Chaffin of Magnolia Ar. Interment will follow the service, at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Mary's family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mary was born in Johnson City, TN on December 14, 1925 to Mr. and Mrs. Glen Maupin. She passed away January 10, 2013 in Bossier City, LA after an extended illness.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jo Ann Williams, Irene Fredericks, and Addine St.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Charles E. Lewis: Her children, Alice J. King, Danville, VA; Curtis E. Chaffin, Jr, Shreveport, LA; David L. Chaffin, Dallas, TX; and Kenneth M. Chaffin, Bossier City, LA.; Sisters, Patsy Harrell, Fallston, MD and Betty Caraway, Johnston, TN; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Dustin Willson, Curtis E. Chaffin, III, Christopher Chaffin, Michael Chaffin, Branden Vest and great-grandson, Calvin Chaffin. Honorary pallbearers, Dr. William Spurlock, grandsons, Travis Smith and Jason Smith, and posthumously, her grandson, Kenneth S. Chaffin.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Atilla Balogh, Dr. Robert McCoy and Dr. Ronald Lambert and Mary's many friends and family.
