Imelda Martha "Mille" Shea Bradford

BOSSIER  CITY - Funeral services celebrating the life of Imelda Martha "Mille" Shea Bradford, age 96, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with interment to follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Reverend Jim Gsthol will officiate.
Mille was born December 11, 1916 in Holyoke, MA and passed away December 28, 2012.
A resident of Bossier City since her husband retired from the Air Force in 1963, Mille was "transplanted Yankee" as she liked to tell everyone. She never met a stranger. She made many friends over the years in Bossier. After a short hospital stay, she wanted to come home to be with her family. Her goal was to celebrate her birthday with family and friends. Mille's 96th birthday was celebrated with family and numerous friends. Her extended "Thomas Family" family Christmas party was celebrated at her home on December22. Christmas Day was spent with her immediate family consisting of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her goal complete, Mille knew she could now rest and go home to be the Lord.
Mille is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George B. Bradford, Jr.; parents Martha Horstman Shea and John F. Shea; and several brothers and one sister.
Surviving her are her son, George B. Bradford, III, daughter, Marilyn Bradford Thomas and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Kristopher Bradford, Adrianne Bradford, Amber Bradford, Keary Thomas, Khieran Thomas and Kayne Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Rayne Duque, Brendan Bradford and Emma Shea Bradford.
Honoring Mille as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Keary Thomas and Kristopher Bradford; great-grandson, Rayne Duque, and friends, Michael Howell, Mike "Dude" Nix and Stacy Ray Wright. Honorary pallbearer will be great-grandson, Brendan Bradford.
