BOSSIER CITY - Services to celebrate the life of Barbara Prothro Thornhill will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thornhill was born on November 2, 1933 in Campti, Louisiana to the late William and Annie Prothro. She was the wife of Cecil R. Thornhill for 55 years until his passing in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Cecil Randall Thornhill.
She is survived by her sons Michael Lynn Thornhill and wife Sylvia, Ronnie Dee Thornhill, Rodney Glen Thornhill and wife Nell, James Gregory Thornhill and wife Hattie, daughters Ginger Ann Thompson, Sandra Allison Goss and husband Tim, Penny Elaine Estrada and husband Alex, and daughter in law Debra Thornhill as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Thornhill, Dee Thornhill, Rodney Thornhill, Greg Thornhill, Gary Thornhill and Blaine Sims.
