Louisiana New Tech senior guard Dennisha Chambers scored 114 points in three games in the Fair Park Thanksgiving Classic tournament.
Wednesday morning, she scored 36 in a 52-48 victory over Huntington in the consolation semifinals.
She came back in the afternoon with a 44-point effort in a 74-52 victory over Calvary in the consolation finals.
On Monday, Chambers scored 34 in a 56-49 overtime loss to North Caddo in the first round.
Chambers helped New Tech win Class 1A state championships the last two seasons. The 1A MVP last season, she is the lone returning starter off the 2011-12 team.
Bossier fell to North Caddo 57-54 in the third-place game.
Laschae Gadson, Tiffany Lynn and Khobi McDaniel all scored 12 points for the Lady Kats.
Tuesday, Bossier dropped a 62-54 decision to Fair Park. Lynn paced the Lady Kats with 17 points.
Airline finished 2-1 in the City of Lights tournament in Natchitoches after splitting games Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Lady Vikings defeated Anacoco 35-27 behind Nikki Bryant’s 10 points and Jasmyn Carswell’s six Wednesday.
Carswell scored 10 points in a 60-29 loss to Pickering on Tuesday.
In boys games Tuesday, the Airline Vikings lost their home opener to the Northwood Falcons 72-55, and Louisiana New Tech at Plain Dealing fell to Calvary 70-66 in the Thanksgiving Classic at Fair Park.
At Airline, the Vikings led 17-13 after the first quarter but the Falcons pulled ahead in the second and took control of the game in the third.
The Vikings went cold from the floor in the third quarter as the Falcons extended a 37-33 halftime lead to 56-44.
Airline’s Andrew Latson, a 6-foot-2 senior, scored 17 of his game-high 22 points in the first half.
Demetrius Early added 10 points for the Vikings, and Anthony Gladney had eight.
The Vikings are awaiting the return of three-time first-team All-District 1-5A guard Hayden Hildebrand. Hildebrand, Airline’s quarterback, will lead the Vikings against West Monroe tonight in the quarterfinals of the Class 5A state playoffs.
At Fair Park, Deaumante Johnson scored 20 points to lead New Tech in the loss to Calvary. Tray Harris had 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Ja’Carlius Stromile added 10 points.
