Local kids dance with Moscow Ballet

Bossier Stars 2012

Over 70 local children, ages seven to 18, will perform with the world-famous Moscow Ballet in The Great Russian Nutcracker on Nov. 18 at the Strand Theatre in Shreveport.  The children were selected by audition and trained under the direction of Christy Holden at Power & Grace School of Performing Arts.  Power & Grace dancers will also perform at several local venues during the holiday season including the American Rose Center on Dec. 1 and the Benton Christmas Festival on Dec. 8.  Some dancers will also travel to Dallas on Dec. 15 to perform for the professional choreographers of “So You Think You Can Dance.” Bossier Stars pictured left to right: (seated) Lauren McKenzie, Lolly Coleman, Emma Graham, Kristen Glovier, Megan Grove, (standing) Jenna Washington, Liza Smith, Taryn Bourcy, Connor Smith, Cameron Kesten, Brinlea Jackson, Shelbi Barnett, Kylie Dutton, Katerina Wagaman.
