Norma Nell (Dew) Martin, 80, Bossier City, Louisiana, formerly of Springhill, Louisiana, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Bossier City.
Norma was born October 8, 1932 in Bastrop, Louisiana to the late Mort and Ruby Dew. Norma was a member of the Temple Baptist Church and retired from the International Paper Company.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale Martin; son Scott Martin; daughter Kim Martin; grandson Zack Martin; sister Carolyn Beene; brother William Mort Dew.
Survivors are her daughters Kay Roper, Terri Miller and husband Gary both of Bossier City, Louisiana; brother Jerry Dew of Magnolia, Arkansas; grandchildren Chaney Garmany, Dirk Garmany, Lacy Roper, Matt Miller, Casey Miller, Dane Noble, Krista Shaw, Destiny Martin; seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14th at the Springhill City Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Pitson officiating and Eulogy by Gary Miller under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Springhill, Louisiana. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and post humorously, Zack Martin.
Memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
The family wishes to thank special caregiver, Angie Kobs, Dr. Tommy Brown, Dr. Scott Wiggins, Dr. Joe Tynes, Dr. Gerardo Sanpedro, Willis Knighton Medical Center, and the Pilgrim Manor Guest Care Center for their kind and compassionate care they provided for Norma and our family.
