E-mail Print PDF

The Bossier City Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred this morning at the Boomtown Casino Hotel in the 300 block of Riverside Drive. Bossier Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $435 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Officers responded to the scene just before 6 a.m. and were told by witnesses that a suspect described as a black male, around 6’2” to 6’4” tall, dressed in dark clothing including a hooded jacket, walked into the hotel lobby and approached the front desk before demanding money from the cash drawer. Witnesses tell police the suspect had much of his face covered and did not show a weapon however they believed he may have been armed due to the way he kept his hands in his pockets.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer, the suspect fled out of the hotel toward Riverside Drive. Officers searched the area for about an hour with the assistance of police dogs but did not locate the suspect.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. They can also submit a web or text tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers website – www.bossiercrimestoppers.org. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous.
