Rebecca Leigh Fortenberry and Jay David Thomas, of Bossier City, are proud to announce their engagement and impending marriage on Nov. 24, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Los Paloma Event Center. Noel Steward will preside over the ceremony.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Vance and Maellyn Fortenberry of Collinsville, Ill. and the granddaughter of Glen and Annette Fortenberry, Mrs. Betty Gauthreaux and the late Mr. Edwin Gauthreaux.
The prospective groom is the son of David and Gail Thomas and Charles and Bettye Berryman of Crossett, Ark.
Rebecca is a graduate of Airline High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Jay is a graduate of Abiding Faith Christian Academy and Louisiana Tech University. He is a member of Delta Chi fraternity.
After the wedding, the couple will make their home in Bossier City.
