Johnnie A. "Buddy" Webb

BOSSIER CITY - Johnnie A. Webb went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 27, 2012 while at the V.A. Hospital Hospice in Shreveport, LA. Visitation for friends and family will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.

Services are set for Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Bossier with Pastor Buster Paige and Pastor Ray Raney officiating. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Cemetery in Shreveport. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Bossier for many years.

Johnnie was born on July 6, 1925 in Oil City, LA to Mildred and Johnnie A. Webb. He was educated in Vivian and Haughton with two years of Banking School at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1943-1945 aboard the USS Jason and the USS Washington. He was a well respected V.P. at Bossier Bank and Trust in Bossier City helping many people get their personal and business life started, before retiring from banking and starting his own business, Bossier Diesel Tractor Services. He was known for his sense of humor and was a sweet and gentle man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Dorothy Cain Webb, to whom he was married to for 56 years, five brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by three children, his son, Ron Webb and spouse Lauren Touchstone Webb and his daughters, Linda Webb Matthews and spouse Roy Matthews and Carol Webb Tucker and spouse Tom Tucker, 35 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and also by his second wife, Opal Farmer Webb.

Pallbearers will be Lane Webb, Cody Matthews, Ron Webb, Jr., Chris Daniel, Bill Daniel and Scott Merritt.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy LeBlanc, Archie Husser and Charles Webb.
