Arcadia gearing up for Christmas Festival |

Event to feature parade, vehicle show, craft booths
ARCADIA — The Annual Arcadia Christmas Festival will be held Saturday, December 16 beginning at 8 a.m. with entertainment, arts and crafts, food booths and a parade at 11 a.m.
Miss Louisiana Jamie Wilson of Minden and Santa Claus will make appearances.
Battle of the Bands will be held that afternoon, and antique shops will be open at 10 a.m. At 5 p.m., a bluegrass jam and show featuring Grassfire, Avery Michael annd Dennene Stringfellow will be held.
Vendors are needed for the festival. Booth spaces are up to 15 feet long for $25. Tables and tents are not provided.

The antique car, tractor and motorcycle show will be held at Arcadia City Hall. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with judging following the parade. Awards will be given at 3 p.m.
The parade will be held at 11 a.m. with line up at Arcadia High School at 10 a.m. All walking units will line up at First United Methodist Church. The parade is open to all types of entries.
