Three Bossier players make All-District 1-III soccer first team

Three Bossier players have been named to the All-District 1, Division III soccer first team.
They are sophomore forward Bryce Culotta, senior outside-midfielder Aaron Rios and junior defender Hunter Courtney.
Senior forward Mateo Martinez, senior center-midfielder Eleazar Saloma and sophomore goalkeeper Timateo Martinez were named to the second team.
Bakeel Waheeb, Alexis Galvan and Daniel Galvan received honorable mention.
Bossier finished 10-6-1 overall. The Bearkats were 6-2 in district and finished runner-up to Loyola.
Loyola claimed three of the four individual honors — Coach of the Year (Trey Woodham), Overall MVP (Harrison Carruthers) and Offensive MVP (Daniel Blewer).
North Caddo’s Jhesus Vargas was named Defensive MVP.
Bossier placed four players on the girls’ second team — senior defenders Daniele Evans and Jazmin Rosario, junior defender Stephanie Ortega and junior goalkeeper Alyssa Tuggle.
Junior midfielder Keonna Sinnie received honorable mention.
District champion and state runner-up Loyola swept the individual honors.
Madeline Mays was named Overall MVP, Bailey Freeman Offensive MVP, Grace Weldon Defensive MVP and Mark Matlock Coach of the Year.
