The Bossier Bearkats advanced to the semifinals of the Class 3A state playoffs with a 54-45 victory over Glen Oaks of Baton Rouge Tuesday night before a packed house at Bossier's E.L. Reding Memorial gym.
The No. 1 seed Bearkats (30-3) will play No. 4 Monroe Carroll, a 51-42 winner over Brusly, in the semifinals later this week at the CenturyLink Center. Glen Oaks, the No. 9 seed, closed its season 20-12.
Tevin Robertson led Bossier with 23 points, and Devonte Hall added 14.
Bossier led 6-2 after the first quarter and 20-10 at the half. The Bearkats stretched to lead to 19 in the third quarter. The Panthers didn't go away quietly, but they never got closer than eight.
