The Bossier Bearkats and Louisiana New Tech at Plain Dealing Lions advanced to the second round of the LHSAA boys basketball playoffs Tuesday night.
Bossier, the No. 1 seed in Class 3A, routed No. 32 Port Barre 85-23 at Bossier. New Tech, the No. 16 seed in Class 1A, defeated Hamilton Christian 49-35 in Plain Dealing.
Bossier will play at No. 17 Rayville in the second round Friday. Rayville defeated No. 16 Madison 56-47 in the first round. New Tech travels to Baton Rouge to face No. 1 Christian Life, a 70-34 winner over Ascension Catholic.
