Seven Bossier Parish teams — two boys and five girls — have made the LHSAA state basketball playoffs.
Bossier and Louisiana New Tech at Plain Dealing will be at home for first-round boys games.
Bossier (27-3), the No. 1 seed in Class 3A, plays  No. 32 Port Barre (15-12). Louisiana New Tech at Plain Dealing (11-10), the No. 16 seed in Class 1A, faces No. 17 Hamilton Christian (18-4). Both games will be played Tuesday night.
Bossier has reached four straight title games. Last year, the Bearkats lost to Richwood 67-55 in the Class 3A championship game. Richwood (21-7) is the No. 2 seed this year.
Louisiana New Tech made it to the semifinals last year, upsetting top seed Metairie Park-Country Day in the quarterfinals. The Lions lost to eventual state runner-up White Castle in the semifinals.
Two-time Class 1A defending state champion Louisiana New Tech is the only parish girls team hosting a first-round game.
The No. 15 seed  Lady Lions (13-8)  play No. 18 St. Martin’s Episcopal (20-11) Monday at 7.
Senior guard Dennisha Chambers, the Class 1A MVP last season, is the only starter back from the team that routed Tensas in last season’s state championship game. Chambers has had a sensational season, averaging 37.1 points per game.
In Class 5A, No. 32 seed Airline (11-18) visits No. 1 Southwood (28-1) Monday at 6 p.m., and No. 31 Haughton (17-12) is at No. 2 Natchitoches Central (23-4) Monday at 7 p.m.
Airline is in the playoffs for the 17th time in 19 years under head coach David Duhon.
Just like every other state school that has played Southwood this season, the Vikings will be a heavy underdog.
The Lady Cowboys, who have won 10 state championships, defeated Airline 84-29 and 64-30 in their two district meetings.
Haughton won seven more games than it did last season, but the Lady Bucs are entering the playoffs on a six-game losing streak.
In Class 4A, No. 29 Benton (16-11) travels to Monroe to face No. 4 Neville (24-2).
Benton reached the semifinals last season. The Lady Tigers lost to eventual state champion St. Thomas More.
In Class 3A, No. 20 Bossier (15-13) travels to Moreauville to face No. 13 Avoyelles (17-13).
