Two drivers were seriously injured in a head on collision Friday.
Bossier City Police responded to the accident in the 3200 block of Barksdale Boulevard just after noon.
Witnesses say a Toyota Tacoma pickup was north bound on Barksdale when it drifted into the oncoming lanes of traffic and hit a south bound Nissan Altima head on. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the collision.
Both drivers were taken to LSU Health in Shreveport by BCFD with serious injuries. Their injuries are believed to be non-life theatening. As a result of the wreck both southbound lanes of Barksdale were temporarily closed while the scene was cleared.
