Airline boys clinch share of District 1-I soccer title

The Airline Vikings clinched a share of the District 1, Division I boys soccer title with a 3-1 victory over Caddo Magnet Tuesday night at Cargill Park.

The game was moved from Lee Hedges Stadium after the light failed to come on.

Matt Hanisee, Will Coyer and Chris Galvin scored goals for Airline, which improved to 24-2 overall and 10-1 in district. The Vikings can win the title outright with a win over Parkway in the season finale Monday night at Tinsley Park.

Parkway defeated Southwood 3-0 Tuesday. Elswhere, Benton downed North Caddo 6-2 in a non-district contest.

The Bossier boys clinched a playoff berth and finished second in District 1-III with a 4-3 victory over Evangel.
