Waller Elementary creative writing 3rd graders wrote a thank you letter to a friend named “Brian” after he invited them to a party at a restaurant where a magician performed followed by a sleepover at his house.

Dear Brian,
Thanks you for inviting me to your party. I saw you laugh when the sorcerer's pants came down. He’s talented but that was still funny. I admire how he acted when it happened. He cried “Oh no!” It was just so so so funny! It wa so so awesome! I just loved the party.
Also I loved the sleepover. I’m glad your mom bought you a Xbox 360! You screamed “YaY!” It was so so cool! I liked when you played Call of Duty! I was just so amazed! You shot five people. I’m lucky to have you as a friend!
Sincerely,
Your bud

Dear Brian,
I got your letter. I was allowed to go to your party. I was very nervous to see you. Brian, the party was very good. The pizza was perfect and so was the ice cream. The guest came to the party. The magician was fantastic! The guest all admired the magician and the music was loud and great. He darkened the stage and it was spooky. I gave you for your birthday lego's and more toy’s. You smiled at me. The man is juggling fire and nails.
Thank you for the sleepover. The power went out because the power line was ripped. Your Mom said “Hold me” and Mon said “Hold me” I said “Run.” We easily got the power back on. This is the proper way to do it. It was October 31, 2012.
See you soon,
Jacob Pyle

Dear Brian,
Thanks for inviting me to your party. It was the best party ever. I was sad when Merlin announced “This will be my last time I perform because I am retiring.” I liked when he called you up and said “Do you want to help me pull a rabbit out of a hat?” You said “Yeah sure!” Everyone chuckled when he pulled a toy truck out first. He had quite a passion for tricks.
When we went home the ghost stories where so cool! I liked the one where throw out the hole story the ghost tricked people because he was really a kid in a costume. That one was a little scary I was a little nervous about what was going to happen next. I liked when we got to sleep outside and it started raining. We all yelled “It’s raining.”
Sincerely,
Hope Hayes
