The Haughton Buccaneers freshmen football team completed an undefeated season with a 30-22 victory over the Parkway Panthers Monday at Haughton.
Haughton finished 8-0, marking the third straight year a Haughton freshmen team has gone undefeated.
Darius Brooks threw four touchdown passes — two of 47 and 40 yards to TJ Sweeney and two of 50 and 60 to Antonio Woodfork. Woodfork also threw a 50-yard TD pass to Sweeney.
Brooks also had two interceptions.
In other freshmen games, Airline routed Southwood 36-6 and Benton edged Minden 24-22.
Travis Manning scoring two touchdowns in Airline’s victory. Willie Robertson, Deangelo Pouncy and Shuncee’ Thomas scored one apiece. Thomas scored two conversions and Hayden Waxley scored one.
Taylor Ward scored on two short runs in Benton’s victory. Dorsavion Manning scored on a 70-yard run after a Chauncey Taylor fumble return. Xavier Washington also had a 15-yard touchdown run.
In junior varsity action, Haughton defeated Parkway 14-0.
Bradley Rachal passed 68 yards to Oshun Smith for a touchdown, and William Haines hit Hunter Hunsucker for a 12-yard score.
Timmy Simmons scored a conversion and had an interception.
