Salvation Army looking for Angel Tree children

The Salvation Army of Shreveport- Bossier are now accepting applications for Christmas toys for children 12 and under.

Sign-up dates and times at 200 E. Stoner Ave., Shreveport, are:
Monday, Oct. 8 through Wednesday, Oct. 10, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 15 through Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 29 through Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Any names placed on the list after these dates will be on the list for emergency day with Toys for Tots Marines.

Each Christmas applicant will need to bring the following information at the time they apply or  they can not be processed:

  • Proof of identity and age for each person on the application. Apply for child 0-12 years. (Names, age, and gender of all persons living in the household and one applicant per household) Social Security card or bring official documents such as Medicaid card or AFDC printouts, etc. Proof of the child's age.  Example: birth certificate, shot record, Medicaid card, school record, etc.  Be prepared to give correct sizes for each child.
  • Proof of residence such as current utility bill or drivers license showing current address. Current mailing address and telephone number.
  • Proof of income and expenses for all person in the household. This needs to be official proof, such as check stubs or notice from caseworker for AFDC and food stamps, social security statement, etc. Please bring current budget sheet and bills/statements.


The Salvation Army will notify by mail if qualify; then Salvation Army will notify of the time and the location to pick up donated toys.
