Robert Green caught two touchdown passes as the Airline Vikings edged Captain Shreve 14-12 in junior varsity action Monday evening at Lee Hedges Stadium.
Chase Rivers and Drew Ewing both threw touchdown passes for the Vikings.
Coach Bo Meeks praised the play of the offensive line. Deveal Granville led the defense.
John Davis and Tyrice Neal had interceptions. Neal’s sealed the victory.
Elsewhere, Haughton dropped a 22-20 decision to host Byrd.
Jarrett Lars returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown for the Bucs. William Haines passed to JT Bledsoe for the two-point conversion to give Haughton an 8-0 lead.
Byrd rallied and led 15-8 at the half.
Haughton got within one on a 60-yard pass from Haines to Lars, but the conversion failed.
The Bucs’ Skyler Woodall recovered a fumble, and Dakota Villard intercepted a pass in the end zone.
Byrd scored a touchdown to go up 22-14 with 1:01 left to play.
Haughton rallied as Haines found Bradley Bockhaus for a touchdown with 25.4 seconds left. But the two-point conversion failed and Byrd recovered an onsides kick.
Parkway fell to Southwood 8-0 at Southwood as the Panthers threw five interceptions.
